Design is about communication and communication is challenging.

I learned this as a teacher. New teachers often arrive with a passion for their subject, but a disconnect from the experience of uninformed or unconcerned minds. Studying Instructional Design taught me design principles to build consistent, clear content. More importantly, I learned that to successfully achieve learning objectives, a continual effort must be made to understand the students’ experience.

Building communication skills was my passion subject as a teacher. Whether it was creating and running workshops, developing classroom games, or running social mixer events, I was driven by trying to optimize how ideas were exchanged. We are in the midst of a digital revolution, one that is empowering the communication of people from different places and purposes, with more access, better organization, and stronger interactions. This is what excites me and fuels my work in UX and Product Design.
